2017 Farmers Market Contract

Waupun Farmers Market Moves Downtown in 2017

The Waupun Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Promotions Committee are teaming up and moving the Farmers Market to downtown Waupun! The market – previously held on Thursdays in the Community Center parking lot – will now be held rain or shine on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in the City Hall Parking Lot (201 E. Main Street) and extend into South Forest Street. The 18-week-long season will run from Saturday, June 3, through Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.

The Farmers Market serves as an outlet for local producers to sell their products and provides the community with access to fresh foods and associated crafts from small vendors, hobby farmers and local gardens.

The Downtown Waupun Farmers Market is seeking Market vendors, groups and clubs to operate the Food Stand, and local musicians and artists to provide entertainment.

Vendors: Seeking vendors who supply fruits, vegetables, eggs, pre-packaged honey and maple syrup, jams and jellies, baked goods, cheese products, meat, fish, pork, bison, poultry or emu; flowers, plants, herbs, seeds, or garden products; crafts, jewelry, soaps and other items may also be permitted based upon review by the Market Committee. All vendors must meet the criteria listed in the Farmers Market guidelines (available via email) and will carry appropriate licensing. If you have questions on licensing and requirements, contact the Fond du Lac County Health Inspector at 1-800-547-3640. If you’d like to learn more about vendor stall rental or reserve your space, please email waupunfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

Food Stand Operators: Calling all non-profits, kid groups, sports teams, etc, looking to host a fundraiser! Operate the Food Stand at the Downtown Waupun Farmers Market. You keep 100% of your profits. No fees to reserve your date. A designated space will serve as the Farmers Market Food Stand. You may do with the space what you want: bring a tent or don’t bring a tent. Host a brat fry or host a bake sale. Skip the brats and make Walking Tacos or serve Sloppy Joes. It’s up to you! Your organization is in charge of providing all supplies needed to cook, sell & serves your food items. Dates are available on a first-come, first-serve basis by calling Amanda at (920) 251-8344. Each organization is limited to reserving one date until the April 30 sign-up deadline. If open dates exist after the deadline, organizations may reserve a second date.
