Waupun is home to one of the largest collections of outdoor sculpture, per capita, in the entire Untied States! The End of the Trail is the most famous of our magificent collection. This world famous sculpture is located on North Madison just a short distance from Main Street.

WHAT TO DO IN WAUPUN? ...................

Horicon Marsh is the place to be to view a wide array of birds and other wildlife. Considered a wetland of international importance; spend a day biking, walking or driving around the refuge and utilize their trails - include a unique floating boardwalk.
Waupun has several buildings listed on the State Registry of Historic Places. This beautiful fence, located at the entrance to Forest Mound Cemetery, is one such location. http://www.wisconsinhistory.org/sitesmuseum.asp

There are also various recreational opportunities; baseball, hockey, walking trails, fishing and swimming at McCune Beach. Waupun  has many beautiful parks which can be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Rental fees for park shelters and beach hours are available through City Hall 920.324.7900. The Park & Rec Department also has discounted tickets for Noah's Ark & other WI attractions.

Disciples of Dixieland Wind Up WFA Summer Concerts

Thursday, July 29 will be the last date for the Waupun Fine Arts summer concert series with the Disciples of Dixieland as the featured group. The six member popular group is regularly featured on Tuesday nights at Juke Box Charlie’s in Fond du Lac. Several of the band are retired music teachers as well as regular performers in other area ensembles. Members include Ray Wifler, clarinet, Ben Reehl, trombone, Howie Schneider, cornet, Tom Duas, tuba, Dave Sullivan, banjo and guitar and Dan Munson, drum set. The Disciples will be playing traditional Dixieland music such as “Sweet Georgia Brown”, “Way Down Yonder in New Orleans” and “When the Saints Go Marching In” as well as other favorites including “Sweet Sue” and “Honeysuckle Rose”.

An added feature for this concert is an appearance of the Waupun Area High School Pep Band at  6:30 PM. The band is directed by Heath Bennedum and will play the familiar music heard at games during the school year. The concert begins at 7 PM at Dodge Park on S. Madison St. in Waupun. Concessions will be served by the Waupun Area Schools Music Boosters. Bring lawn chairs and in case of rain the concert will move to the City Hall Auditorium.
