Waupun is home to one of the largest collections of outdoor sculptures in the United States, including the world renown, "End of the Trail", by James Earle Fraser. The city's wonderful collection was donated by Clarence Shaler, a business man and lover of the arts. Visitors will definitely see why Waupun is known as "The City of Sculpture". For more information on the sculptures, view this link or visit the City of Waupun website for more tourism information.

In addition to our beautiful sculptures, Waupun has a natural beauty as well. Designated as the "Wild Goose Center of Wisconsin", Waupun is two miles east of the Horicon Marsh. "At over 32,000 acres in size, Horicon Marsh is the largest freshwater cattail marsh in the United States. The marsh provides habitat for endangered species and is a critical rest stop for thousands of migrating ducks and Canada geese. It is recognized as a Wetland of International Importance, as both Globally and State Important Bird Areas and is also a unit of the Ice Age Scientific Reserve". View the links section of this website to locate additional information and tourism destinations related to the Horicon Marsh.

If you are in need of a place to stay while you are in Waupun, we have the Inn Town Motel, AmericInn and a wonderful campground located in the Fond du Lac County - Waupun Park.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Waupun Truck n Show and Volksfest.  The Truck n Show is one of the nation's largest truck shows and includes a magnificent display of lights during the Friday night, Lights of the Night convoy.

Volksfest takes place in September and is the place to be if you enjoy polka, good food, beer and fun people.  With free admission and non-stop music, Volksfest is the place to be.  This weekend there is also a Wild Goose Chase, Art Show and crafters.  Guided walking tours of the collection of outdoor sculptures is also available.

Location, location, location! Not only does the city have wonderful natural resources but it also has a well linked transportation network which includes several major highways, rail access and airports less than 20 minutes away. Waupun is within one hour of major metropolitan areas including; Madison, Milwaukee & the Fox Cities. Our location makes Waupun the perfect place to work, live or visit.

Come on Home, Come to Waupun.
